All of Jigsaw Digital’s services are delivered by people with disability, paid at award-wage. Just 53% of people with disability are employed, compared with 83% in the mainstream. Jigsaw’s work-based employment pathway, which takes people through work-skills training, paid work experience and support to transition to a mainstream job, addresses the systemic barriers behind this imbalance.

Allianz and Jigsaw: a partnership to build a pathway to employment for people with disability in the insurance industry

Allianz initially engaged Jigsaw in 2021 to help process a backlog of insurance claims due to COVID-19 lockdowns and disruptions. The initial 8-month contract was extended and the partnership expanded from the motor insurance department to other areas of Allianz’s business, growing the team of paid trainees from 4 to over 40.

We have been working with Allianz to transition over 20 of the paid trainees into Allianz employees (in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide!).  Jigsaw has delivered ‘disability confidence training’ to 110 Allianz staff to support the successful transition of these trainees.
